Self-Drive Boat Hire on The Upper River Medway - Maidstone (Non-Tidal). Operating 7 days a week (subject to weather and river conditions), following a safety briefing and boat handling lesson from one of our skippers you can take to the river on your own in one of our authentic day boats, with a travel area running between Allington Lock and Teston Lock you can cruise through the beautiful Kent countryside, get in touch with nature and wildlife.

Age Restrictions
The lead hirer and driver must be aged 21 or over and proof of ID may be required before we allow the boat to go out on hire. Failure to supply ID will result in your hire booking being cancelled with no refund.
Cancellation policy
7 days or more before your booking
Full refund or rebook.
Less than 7 days before your booking
No refund but you can rebook at no additional charge.
No show on the day
No refund and no rebooking available.
Alcohol and Drugs Policy
Should any members of your party appear intoxicated by alcohol or drugs, then we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund.
Please note the following additional information
N.B - Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received in full, once payment is made you cannot cancel for a refund, if the weather conditions do not permit safe travel then we will endeavour to offer you an alternative date subject to our availability.
You will need to arrive and check in at the refreshment kiosk at least 20 minutes before your departure time to allow for your induction and safety briefing.
ME Card Member Discounts - The 10% ME Card discount is applied at cart or checkout using the designated promotional code. A valid ME Card must be presented in person when collecting the boat. If the cardholder is unable to produce a valid ME Card on arrival, the discount will be forfeited and the remaining 10% balance will be payable before the hire commences.
